Sid
and Nan Simpson, New Mexico artists, share a studio, ideas, and their passion
for painting. Their styles differ greatly. Sid explores abstract and semi-abstract
ways to depict the New Mexico landscape and natural forms. Nan is primarily
a realist, but she occasionally ventures into the semi-abstract realm that Sid
inhabits. Both have shown their work widely, in New Mexico and the Southwest.
Both have been accepted into many juried shows and have exhibited in two-person
and three-person shows (as the Tres Hermanos, with Sid's sister Ruth,
a fabric artist.)
